Tip O' The Day

When you wake up in the morning with a to-do list a mile long and realize that you have forgotten to do laundry all week, and then you look in the closet and the only thing you can find to wear is your khaki pants (a size too small after the Thanksgiving Day feast) and your red polo shirt, so you quickly shower and throw that on and run out the door to buy the things you need for your daughter's costume for the parade tonight....

... steer clear of Target, or you may find yourself being berated by the manager for failing to tuck in your shirt and wear your name tag.

Did you act like the Target lady on SNL? Because that would have been excellent!

Reminds me of the time I was walking through the workroom floor of our large complex on the way to my workplace. I was grabbed by a supervisor, told to get back to work. It took me five minutes to convince her I worked in a whole different section.

It could have been worse, you could have been mistaken for one of the special door greeters at Walmart!

You should have asked for the paycheck!

Hi all -- I am rarely that quick on my feet and would never have thought to act like the Target lady on SNL or ask for a paycheck!! Maybe you all should disregard my advice and go to Target dressed in red & khaki on purpose, and have fun with the overworked and frazzled managers on duty the week before Christmas!

When I was still working as a teacher, my basic outfit was khaki pants and an "oxford" shirt. Whenever I stopped at Officemax or Target on the way home from work, I'd get people walking up to me asking where things were. I guess the lack of a nametag didn't dissuade them from bothering me.
