Pulitzer Project - New Review Next Week - "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy

For those of you reading "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy with me: I'm planning to post the review sometime within the next week.

So finish reading the book if you haven't already, so you can comment on the book and / or have fun criticizing my review of it.

I wish it was something I could read. Next week can we read Dr Seuss together?

You pick the one you want.

Mr. Condescending: "The Lorax" is a good one. We can discuss whether it accurately presents relevant modern ecological issues or is left-wing propaganda disguised as children's literature. What do you think?

I think that would be a good start for me, then maybe I could move on to encyclopedia brown when I'm ready.

Crap, I haven't even started reading it yet!

I did start reading The Road, but then I got tagged with jury duty. It just ended -- it was a horrible case, a double homicide, two women shot in the presence of their small children, so I'm setting The Road aside for awhile. I need some nice mellow mind candy (but not Dr. Seuss, his books always have a serious message hiding in them) that requires absolutely no thinking. Harlequin romances maybe?
